Register
Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child with us. You are most welcome! We invite you to visit us. We can tell you everything about our school and our education. You can ask questions. We also make time to show you around the school and perhaps take a look at the future group of your child.
There are special rules for registering your child at an early age. These can be found on the website of the Municipality of The Hague and Een Aanmeldleeftijd
After enrolling a 4-year-old, the teacher will make an appointment for an introductory meeting.
Final enrollment
Final enrollment occurs when the school has made it known that the notified child is placable.
Rejection
Sometimes a school has room, but there are compelling reasons not to admit your child. For example because the school has insufficient possibilities to meet the support needs of your child. Then the so-called duty of care occurs. The school then has the duty of care to assist you in finding a suitable other school for your child.
The school has 6 weeks to find a suitable place (regular weeks, not school weeks). If necessary, this period can be extended by 4 weeks.

- children who turn 4 and have attended Peuterleerplek Houtwijk.
Pupil cap
OBS Houtwijk does not currently have a pupil ceiling. However, we do maintain a maximum group size of 25 to 30 students. We do this to ensure the education, attention and safety we provide.
For example, there may be 30 students in one group and a maximum of 25 students in another. This has to do with care within a group.
